Cleaver Fever is a sidescrolling platformer game being developed by the production team at The Art Institute of Portland using the UDK. My role on the team is that of the level designer for the forest stage, which constitutes ten minutes worth of gameplay at the midpoint of the game. The player takes on the role of a bunny who can utilize a number of different jumps to help him overcome challenges.

An important element in designing the map thus far has been incorporating a number of different challenges for the player so that each region within the forest feels fresh and new and the gameplay doesn't become repetitive. The level is broken up into two main portions, one on the ground level and the other up in the canopy. This helped make the challenges encountered in each half somewhat unique.
